Atlantic to discuss differences and commonalities of contemporary defense transformation. Heiko Borchert
has contributed the chapter on the Bundeswehr's transformation to the edited volume published by Stanford University Press.
On 27-28 April 2010, the Faculty of Humanities and Arts at the University of Witten-Herdecke

on how to make global air transport more secure organized by IPA Network
in May 2008 in Berlin.
Volume 7 entitled "Wettbewerbsfaktor Sicherheit" (Competitive
Factor Security) of the book series Vernetzte Sicherheit (Networked
Security) is out now (in German only). Public-private security partnerships
are the focus of the new volume with authors from different ministries
and companies. They address the general frameworks that are needed
for fruitful public-private interaction to advance security and present
several case studies, inter alia, on energy infrastructure security,
transport infrastructure security or the security of mass public events.
